Due to the dynamic growth of electromobility in the automotive industry, ZEULENRODA PRESSTECHNIK, a manufacturer of special forming presses, has been very serving the specific market for the production of electric motors for several years.

The objective of ZEULENRODA PRESSTECHNIK is to expand its own range of services now and, in collaboration with DREHER Automation, to offer complete and highly productive turnkey forming systems for the fully automated production of rotor and stator laminations including stamping and packaging (stamping packaging line) to the relevant customer base worldwide. DREHER Automation, the leading automation manufacturer in Europe for the automated production of pressed parts, is the optimal partner for this expansion of their services.

The joint objective is to combine the special forming press knowhow of ZEULENRODA PRESSTECHNIK with a mechanically and electrically integrated press automation of DREHER Automation to form an end-to-end production system, while adopting a collaborative approach. To achieve the best possible client performance, the two partners work closely together on market presence, market development, and project management.

From the view of the cooperation partners ZEULENRODA PRESSTECHNIK and DREHER Automation, the new approach provides clear benefits to clients:

  • Application-optimised special forming press with integrated press automation optimised for the specific application
  • Optimally adapted, highly productive, and very robust turnkey forming system
  • End-to-end integrated hardware and software solution with SIEMENS (drive technology, control, operation and graphical representation, as well as safety)
  • Short delivery times due to a high degree of standardisation
  • Impressive service with around 40 employees at two locations in Germany

With this collaborative approach, the first shared client order was acquired at the beginning of 2023. The client is a German automotive manufacturer in the premium segment. In the final expansion stage, a total of three stamping packaging lines will be supplied to the client.
