Tork has launched a new resource hub, Safe at Work, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to help businesses and essential workers Stay safe to carry on™.

Tork Safe at Work is a one-stop online resource for the most up to date hygiene information and recommendations for businesses. As the global leader in professional hygiene, Tork is offering insights and resources based on decades of experience, combined with the latest public health recommendations, to help businesses prevent the spread of pathogens and keep employees safe to carry on.

As a part of this effort, Tork has developed the Tork Safe at Work: COVID-19 Toolkit for Manufacturers to help companies producing essential goods and those that are re-starting their operations in light of the easing of lockdown restrictions, ensure cleaning regimens and employee safety programs are aligned with recommendations from public health bodies, such as the World Health Organization. The Tork Safe at Work: COVID-19 Toolkit for Manufacturers provides companies with the tools and resources to ensure their sites remain safe and hygienic for workers during the pandemic and beyond.

“Manufacturing employees have been working tirelessly to ensure people have the supplies they need during these challenging times. Tork developed the Safe at Work: COVID-19 Toolkit for Manufacturers to ensure these essential workers have the resources necessary to reinforce and augment their cleaning procedures for safe site operation,” said Jenny Turner, Marketing Director—Industry, Essity Professional Hygiene. “With the easing of the lockdown restrictions and many manufacturers re-starting operations, it’s essential that returning employees feel confident and safe at work.  Site managers should rest assured that these expert recommendations will help keep their facility safe and hygienic now and into the future.”

Recommendations from the Tork Safe at Work: COVID-19 Toolkit for Manufacturers include:

  • Proper hand hygiene protocol for site workers, including ways to improve adherence;
  • Enhanced surface cleaning protocol to ensure that manufacturing workspaces stay hygienic; and
  • Recommendations for reviewing sites’ standard operating procedures to incorporate physical distancing measures, with alternative recommendations if implementing physical distancing measures is not possible.
