Scania (Great Britain) Limited has lent its support to EquATA, a not-for-profit therapy and personal development organisation, with the donation of a 40' container equipped with a full set of racking.
EquATA, which is based in Grafton Underwood, near Kettering, Northamptonshire uses the natural environment and selected horses to provide a range of specialist equine experience and learning services for autistic children, young people with behavioural problems and adults with depression. The organisation will use the container to house equipment and toys used in its day-to-day operations.
The container was previously used by Scania as a temporary store while it relocated into its new Milton Keynes Customer Support Centre. Assistance in moving it from Milton Keynes to its new Grafton Underwood home was provided by TDR Transport Limited, the Dudley, West Midlands-based heavy haulage and plant logistics specialist. TDR Transport is a long-standing customer of Scania dealer Keltruck, and today operates a 90 percent Scania fleet with gross train weights from 44- to 150-tonnes.
"We are delighted to be able to support EquATA in this way, and I would particularly like to express our thanks to Rich and Tim Rolinson of TDR Transport for moving and re-siting the container for us," says Phil Rootham, Pre-sales Technical Manager for Scania (Great Britain) Limited.
Speaking on behalf of EquATA, Jo Hawkins says, "We would like express our extreme gratitude to Scania (Great Britain) Limited for this generous donation. We will now be able to keep equipment for our Fun Day and all the outdoor toys that our children play with in good condition.
