As part of ULMA Packaging Ltd's continuing expansion plans in the UK, Louise Pearson has been appointed Sales and Marketing Co-Ordinator at the company to help drive further growth in its target markets.

Louise brings 20 years of experience in sales and marketing in both business to business and retail environments to her new role overseeing strategic communications for the company, an exciting opportunity which she was keen to get her teeth into: promoting the leading global supplier's comprehensive range of versatile and robust packaging equipment in the UK and Ireland.

ULMA's vast product range is unmatched in the marketplace, offering plenty of packaging options for potential and current customers seeking to automate or modernise their production lines, says Louise who is co-ordinating sales and marketing for the business including website presence, social media activities and attendance at exhibitions.

"We have solutions for many industries," explained Louise, "ULMA is a growing business and has a very exciting future. I think I've joined at the perfect time. We've just moved to new premises which is great and shows the travel of direction ULMA is taking as it goes from strength to strength."

The company's offering is not limited to a single packaging technology, but the latest in high performance Thermoforming, both horizontal and vertical form fill and seal, Tray sealing, shrink, and sleeve wrapping machines ideal for food, pharmaceutical and many other sectors.

Louise's appointment and the move of ULMA's UK packaging operations to new, larger premises in Dinnington, Sheffield, demonstrate the company's determination to continue to be at the forefront for stand-alone equipment as well as offering complete automated line solutions for businesses large and small.

Its equipment can incorporate different labelling and coding systems to ensure traceability data is transparent across the entire logistics chain, as well as incorporating tamper-proof packaging for the maximum protection of healthcare products.

ULMA's UK Managing Director, Chris Pickles, said: "We have grown significantly in such a short period of time – meaning that strategic appointments of the right calibre of personnel are absolutely vital to the future growth of the business. We are very pleased to have attracted someone of Louise's skill-set and experience to our team. Add those skills to a dynamic 'Can Do' attitude, and I'm sure that both Louise and ULMA will undoubtedly benefit from this appointment."

Louise is already well into her stride at ULMA where her knowledge of CRM systems and marketing are areas the business is keen to develop. She said: "I've really settled in. I'm throwing myself into it 100% and have got lots of ideas to help the business grow. There's a lot to learn, it's a great team and the future is so exciting."

ULMA also provides a full after sales support service in the UK and Ireland, giving its customers peace of mind that production lines can be maintained effectively and businesses run smoothly and efficiently. Always striving to stay one step ahead of its competitors by designing and supplying systems for virtually any packaging requirement, ULMA's equipment can play an important role in developing companies' competitiveness by driving productivity and innovation – critical cornerstones to future prosperity for corporates and SMEs alike.
