A Nottinghamshire based warehousing, distribution and logistics company has achieved the highest accolade from the BRC (British Retail Consortium).

Carlton Forest Warehousing, a division of the Carlton Forest Group, was accredited AA status, meaning that it has truly achieved success in all areas of its operations.

"This is a fantastic achievement which has been the result of dedication and determination and we are immensely proud," commented Graham White Operations Manager Carlton Forest Warehousing. "This has truly been a team effort – everyone has been committed to maintaining the highest standards since we received the certification at the end of last year. And, as we educate and empower our staff in the roles they do, this has certainly paid dividends in this latest achievement."

Since the accreditation was initially awarded the group has been able to diversify into new markets, particularly in the food and drink sector and has continued to develop the proficiency of its operations realising new efficiencies and securing new contracts.

"This latest accolade, the highest audit rating possible, shows the professionalism of our operations and enables customers and third parties to evaluate us against a uniform, globally recognised standard, transferrable across so many industries," said Graham. "It shows our commitment to customers through the service levels we offer and highlights the ethics of the business, both of which are instrumental in our recent successes and growth and will pay a significant part in our exciting plans for 2018."

Carlton Forest Group, which has built a reputation on excellence, was assessed in a number of areas including ambient food, packaging and packing materials, consumer products and its internal policies and procedures.

This highly regarded standard was developed by industry experts to secure the attainment and maintenance of high standards for product safety and operational management, supply chain for organisations involved in the storage and distribution, including wholesale activities, of food and non-food products.

Graham concluded; "Over the coming months we will strive to maintain this rating and have plans in place to ensure the company continues to develop placing itself as one of the leading independent warehousing, co-packing and distribution centres in the North of England and the Midlands. Our bespoke solutions give companies the flexibility they need to facilitate efficient supply chain systems and movement of goods from all sectors across the country and beyond."
