Acumen Automobile Logistics has taken delivery of two new DAF LF curtain side rigids as part of its on-going investment strategy and expansion plans for its enclosed car transport fleet.

Obtained on a full maintenance contract hire agreement, the DAF rigids have been chosen for their reliability, low operating costs and, in particular, fuel efficiency. They will each carry two cars and will be utilised throughout the UK and Europe.

The DAF LF was chosen by Acumen Automobile Logistics for its agility, excellent accessibility and for its ability to provide fast loading and unloading as well as fuel economy and low emissions. The new trucks underline Acumen's continuing investment in its fleet as well as its commitment to reducing carbon emissions. The company now operates an extensive range of equipment including specialist car transporters, articulated vehicles and curtain sided rigids & trailers.

One of the trucks will be based at Acumen Automobile Logistics operating centre in Coventry and the other at its depot in Farnborough. Acumen Automotive Logistics has been steadily updating its enclosed car transporters over the past two years in line with increased business and reputation as a leading enclosed car delivery operator, dealing with visually sensitive and specialist vehicles which it transports throughout the UK and Europe.

Peter Raybould, Director of Acumen Automotive Logistics, comments: "We are very pleased to be expanding our enclosed fleet. These new vehicles will allow us to provide our expanding customer base for our enclosed car delivery services with even greater flexibility".
