1GSA – the newly-launched independent GSSA network – has appointed e-Cargoware as its preferred supplier of IT systems, providing all members with access to a cutting-edge GSA management system at preferential rates.
e-Cargoware is already installed and operational at 1GSA founder member and UK representative, Select Airline Management. Select had been using the system's predecessor since it commenced trading in 2004, and has recently migrated to e-Cargoware.
M&C Aviation, which was one of the first GSSA companies to join the 1GSA network, covering seven countries in Asia, has also chosen e-Cargoware; it is mid-way through implementation across its branch network.
e-Cargoware is a state-of-the-art GSSA system with highly-advanced networking features, is web-enabled and cloud-based. Provided as a SaaS (software as a service) solution, it will enable all 1GSA members to interface with each other, and to act as a single unit managed from one location, in cases where airlines wish to appoint multiple 1GSA stations.
The e-Cargoware system is the successor to the well-established Decmar GSA product, which had been in service for 25 years. It provides a comprehensive suite of functions, including auto quotations, reservations, flight planning and capacity control, AWB stock management, pre-alerts and manifesting to handlers, and auto post flights. It also provides charges calculation, job costing, invoicing, schedule management, CASS settlements processing, sub-GSA management, Cargo-IMP message processing, management reports, customisable CSR reports and track and trace.
e-Cargoware supports multi-station and multi currency, is e-AWB and e-freight compliant, and uses e-Pouch to store documents electronically. e-Cargoware GSA is one element in a total supply chain solution that can seamlessly link shippers, forwarders, airlines and GSSA, handlers and consignees.
Using its FR8 Booking web interface, which is mobile-friendly, 1GSA members will be able to provide a customised web-based quotes and booking facility to forwarders, with full background CRM functions that will enhance their business prospecting and promotional capabilities.
Says 1GSA President David Lee: "Our research and personal experience have shown e-Cargoware to be the most advanced GSSA system on offer today. In my own company, Select, it is revolutionising how we work, and definitely strengthens our offering both to forwarders and airlines. It was therefore the obvious choice as the first of our Preferred Suppliers, adding further value to 1GSA membership.
"The system's web architecture and cloud-based operation, along with its innovative networking features, make it ideal as a uniform platform to support 1GSA's growth. e-Cargoware will enable 1GSA to offer a total cargo management solution to airlines. We will be the first truly digital network GSSA, and this will be a real differentiator, as well as enabling our members to work smarter."
