Fulfilment service provider ProReServ has joined the LogCoop warehouse network as a new member with the aim of reinforcing its market presence and developing new customer potential.
"The step is a measure which flanks the imminent inauguration of our new logistics centre in the heart of the Ruhr area", says Marion Janßen, an authorised officer of ProReServ GmbH and head of logistics and administration. ProReServ is currently erecting a cutting-edge building on a surface area of 27,000 square metres for the warehousing, handling, picking and finishing of goods of all kinds. The processes can be optimally designed in the new building's layout over an area 10,000 m².
LogCoop Lagernetzwerk GmbH & Co. KG meanwhile has 75 members with over 60 warehouse locations, so the network is able to provide quick and uncomplicated assistance when there are storage bottlenecks. "We are delighted that ProReServ with its attractive and state-of the-art warehouse centre in Gelsenkirchen, its logistics service as well as, in particular, the topic of merchandising/rackjobbing and sales has enriched us by joining as a new member," stated Marc Marc Possekel, founder and managing director of LogCoop Lagernetzwerk GmbH.
The new ProReServ logistics centre situated in the Bulmke-Hüllen district of Gelsenkirchen is due to open in the first quarter of 2017 and offer jobs for around 90 employees. The entire team of the company's former site in Gelsenkirchen-Erle is to be taken over. The new building will be designed to satisfy the sophisticated requirements placed on sustainability and subsequently certified in accordance with "DNGB Gold". The DGNB system is used for the objective specification and assessment of the sustainability of buildings. Certification is based on satisfying up to 40 sustainability criteria. The district of Bulmke-Hüllen is located to the north-east of Gelsenkirchen's town centre. The A42 motorway is only several minutes away from the Brüsseler Straße.
LogCoop Lagernetzwerk GmbH was founded in January 2016 and responds to qualified enquiries from shippers within only 48 hours. The LogCoop network of warehouses is therefore specifically geared to shippers who have so far addressed their enquiries and tenders mainly to large logistics groups.
LogCoop Lagernetzwerk exclusively serves the purpose of pooling and acting as an intermediary for storage and contract services. Contracts are agreed directly between shippers and members. The individual network members benefit not only from the additional enquiries and orders but also from knowledge transfer within the group. Furthermore, the academy, which belongs to the cooperation, offers continuous professional development.
LogCoop Lagernetzwerk shareholders and members, including well-known forwarders such as Seifert, Honold, Pfenning, Bonum Logistik and Biermann, as well as Schuon, Haller and Gilog, are largely mid-market, owner-managed logistics companies with annual revenues of up to EUR 250 million. The cooperation's aspiration is to become Germany's largest provider of storage and contract services within the next five years and to expand beyond the borders of Germany.
ProReServ GmbH is a professional service provider for the trade. The company, which was founded in 1999, acts as a key link between well-known manufacturers, distributors and various retailers. The full service concept comprises the five areas of logistics, merchandising & rackjobbing, administration and sales, as well as online fulfilment. The successful retail service partner concept is being developed and refined on an ongoing basis and adjusted to the current market situation.
