Celebrity lawyer Nick Freeman's law firm has launched a new, specialist road haulage division.
Freeman & Co Haulage Solicitors, which will be headed by "Mr Loophole", will offer expert legal advice, assistance and representation to an array of businesses who rely upon the use of an Operator's Licence.
Predominately, the team will advise and represent operator licence holders at Public Inquiries throughout the UK as well as defending the full spectrum of DVSA prosecutions, such as tachograph offences.
Additionally, the road transport team at Freeman & Co Haulage Solicitors will conduct compliance management system audits, help operators apply for new licences, vary their existing licence and represent drivers at conduct hearings.
Mr Freeman said: "This is a heavily regulated industry and consequently hauliers can often find themselves answering charges in the criminal courts or facing regulatory action at a Public Inquiry before the Traffic Commissioner.
"Being recognised as one of the country's leading criminal defence law firms, we have now launched Freeman & Co Haulage Solicitors.
"We will provide a specialist service to accommodate the needs of all business structures; whether it be sole traders with a handful of vehicles, or limited companies with expansive fleets.
"Not only will our clients have the best possible chance of obtaining or retaining their operator licence, but the service will also ensure that they have the robust compliance management systems in place to avoid future regulatory action".
