Weeks after winning a UK award for its outstanding customer service, Chesterfield-based Hastings Freight has been named Palletways' International Member of the Year.
Hastings Freight is part of Palletways, the European express palletised freight network. Staff beat off competition from 400 companies to win the award, which they received at a ceremony in Germany, in recognition of its long term performance, growth, commitment and service excellence in the European marketplace.
Hastings Freight, based at High Hazels Road in Barlborough, is the single largest Palletways member across the whole of Europe for international pallet volumes. It ships international pallets to 16 European countries and is consistently the top international performer across the Palletways network.
Alan Hastings, managing director at Hastings Freight, said: "We're delighted to have won this award for the second time running, which reflects the dedication and hard work which every member of staff at the depot. It's a great staff motivator but it also sends out a strong signal to the marketplace about our international capabilities which we believe are unparalleled amongst our competitors."
