AirBridgeCargo voted 'Best All-Cargo Airline' in Asian Freight, Logistics & Supply Chain Awards

AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) has won the 'Best All-Cargo Airline' award at the 2016 Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain (AFLAS) Awards.

The trophy was presented to Alexander Roschupkin, ABC's Commercial Director, at the awards ceremony at the Peace Hotel in Shanghai.

More than 15,000 readers of Asia Cargo News voted for leading industry players in different categories, with three finalists in each competing for the best-in-class award. The event itself was coupled with the Air Cargo China 2016 exhibition and conference.

"In the last few years, ABC has been recognised with a series of leading industry awards for the quality of its performance, both nationally and internationally, and we are delighted to be among other winners at the AFLAS awards, understanding that our customers' confidence has reached a level that has earned ABC yet another high level of recognition. It is an honour to be acknowledged for our performance in the Asian market – the main cargo arena of the world – and we will continue to work hard to maintain the level of trust we have obtained," Alexander Roschupkin said.

Asia was the first region to welcome ABC services back in 2004 when AirBridgeCargo's initial B747 flight lifted off from Moscow on its way to Beijing, China. Since then, step by step, the airline has been expanding its presence in the region by launching flights to Shanghai in 2004, Hong Kong in 2006, Tokyo (Narita) in 2007, Seoul and Zhengzhou in 2010, Chengdu in 2012, Singapore and Hanoi in 2015 and, most recently, in Chongqing. This extensive market coverage and customer support has resulted in ABC achieving an 11% increase for its compound average tonnage from Asia over the last five years.

The AFLAS trophy will be added to ABC's awards collection, which so far includes:

  • 'Cargo Carrier of the Year' for 4 consecutive years - Wings of Russia

  • 'Best All-Cargo Carrier 2014' - Asian Freight and Supply Chain Awards
  • 'All-Cargo Airline of the Year Award' - Cargo Airline of the Year Awards

  • 'Best Overall Carrier of the Year 2015' - Payload Asia Awards 2015
  • 'Quality Overall Performance' - ANAMA Quality Awards 2016

These awards confirm that today AirBridgeCargo Airlines is a respected name in the air cargo industry and associated with quality, high level of service and international expertise, which has been acknowledged both by industry experts and by ABC's customers.
