As part of a major refurbishment of its workshop, Car & Truck Services Limited chose a Stertil Koni ST4120 4-post lift to simplify a wide range of servicing and maintenance operations.
Based at Elvanfoot in South Lanarkshire, Car & Truck Services Limited is ideally located at the centre of the industrial hub for the South of Scotland to provide comprehensive car and truck repairs including mechanical and bodywork. The company also operates a 24 hour breakdown service and is an accredited contractor for major motoring organisations. The 12 tonne capacity ST4120 4-post lift is used daily to simplify many different tasks including servicing, repairs and MOT testing on a wide range of vehicles such as cars, trucks, vans, caravans and trailers.
The Stertil Koni ST4120 is an electro-hydraulic, heavy duty platform lift offering a choice of platform lengths up to eight metres which are also adjustable to provide widths from 800mm to 1650mm. This flexibility makes the ST4120 ideal for use in workshops that deal with a broad range of light and heavy duty vehicles including narrow tracked fork trucks. Driven rams are located at the four corner posts and all are electronically synchronised ensuring safe and smooth operation. Importantly, the free-standing control box can be positioned at the most convenient post for every installation.
To ensure complete operational safety, the ST4120 4-post platform lift incorporates a number of important design features including an electronic synchronisation system that continuously monitors the position of all cylinders to ensure safe, smooth and level movement at all times. This is complemented by an independent gravity operated locking mechanism to prevent unexpected or accidental lowering of the lift. Significantly, for applications involving longer vehicles, including buses and trailers, the ST4120 4-post lift can be extended in a tandem configuration with two lifts in line which can be operated individually or together.
