Companies shortlisted for the technical innovation category were required to show evidence of delivering solutions that significantly improved the operational effectiveness of a business. As the winning entrant, 3T had to demonstrate innovative and effective product/service development.

The award was accepted on behalf of 3T by CEO Steve Twydell and MD Tim Fawkes. Tim commented: "Technology and innovation are at the core of what we do. We have invested significantly in the in-house development of a range of cutting edge products using advanced technology to revolutionise the way that transport is managed. We are delighted to have this formally recognised by the industry."

The awards were judged by a panel of nine industry experts, including Peter Ward, CEO, of the UK Warehousing Association, Howard Cox, founder of FairFuelUK and Malcolm Bingham of the Freight Transport Association.
