Transporters.io has launched its web-based booking and business management system, built specifically for the Transport Industry. A large number of transport providers still perform these tasks with pen and paper, which may work but is not compatible with the modern, connected world.
Transporters.io is built using the latest technology and runs in the cloud, meaning it can be accessed from anywhere, even on the move - an important consideration for transport businesses. Accessed via any web browser there is nothing to install on your computer, with free trial and instant setup meaning new users can be up and running in minutes.
The launch is focused on the UK and targeting the large coach and minibus hire market which the product is especially suited for.
Asked about the plans ahead, CTO Mark Walker said: "While today we launched the 'Ground Edition' of Transporters, we will also be launching Air and Sea editions over the coming months tailored for those markets. We chose the UK for our initial launch since it has a very strong and diverse ground transport industry, with many businesses understanding the value of improved technology. Over the next 12 months however we will have expanded our operations to a truly global scale, with some exciting new developments to be announced a little later."
