MAN has built on the success of a one-off hire contract to become the main marque in Cardiff-based Neal soil suppliers fleet.
Bosses at Neal Soil Suppliers, a division of Dauson Environmental Group, say they are delighted with the brand and service from the local dealer WG Davies.
Group operations manager Mark Williams said: "We had an MAN on hire. We had probably 15 vehicles under another marque and we had had some issues. We were very impressed with MAN and it seemed natural to go there when we replaced the fleet."
In the last three years Neal Soils and its sister company Atlantic Recycling have taken 30 MAN TGS 8x4 trucks, 15 of which are Euro 6, with a range of different bodies to suit their business needs and four TGX 26.480 tractor units through MAN TopUsed.
"Now I can safely say that we are MAN ambassadors," Mark added. "The fleet is currently 95 per cent MAN and will definitely be using them again in the future. We are pleased with the way the vehicles perform, and the drivers have welcomed the vehicles which is why we have just taken delivery of nine more tippers since the start of the year.
"Also, the local dealer is very close by and we cannot fault their service at all. They are as good as gold.
"We have had issues with dealers in the past, but the boys at WG Davies in Cardiff do everything right for us and are very helpful.
"You really can't fault them and they pull out all the stops for us."
