GT Nexus has announced that Koch Industries, Inc. has adopted its GT Nexus platform to enable end-to-end visibility of Koch's transportation portfolio and centralise global transportation management of oceanic freight.

"For the first time, we will be able to view our entire ocean global supply chain and run programmes to optimise our global footprint," said Tom Butz, president of Koch Logistics. "GT Nexus enables us to run bids across all Koch companies and leverage combined volume. Visibility and integration through the platform allow us to compare contract transit times to actual transit times, measure allocated spend to actual spend, and look up and issue bookings in real time."

Since 2008, various Koch companies have used GT Nexus to manage and execute global ocean transportation. The adoption of GT Nexus as Koch's corporate ocean carrier management system will support the company's plans for capturing growth opportunities while mitigating risks and reducing supply chain costs.

"Connecting all trading partners on a single network provides essential visibility into goods and documentation across multiple parties, modes, time zones and geographies to help Koch better serve customers," said Sean Feeney, CEO of GT Nexus. "Investing in a global supply chain control tower initiative helps Koch ensure quality, efficiency and on-time delivery of goods while removing costs and risk from the process."
