Yusen Logistics renews with Casio in the UK

Casio UK has renewed its contract with Yusen Logistics for its total UK supply chain operation.

Yusen is handling the company's full range of products destined for both the consumer and business markets, which includes digital pianos, cash registers, watches, calculators and digital projectors.

Yusen Logistics has been working with Casio for over 20 years, partnering the company through periods of fundamental change and re-engineering the supply chain in line with their business objectives.

The Casio operation includes inbound container planning, Customs clearance and delivery from port, in addition to warehousing and a wide range of added values services based at one of Yusen Logistics' high security distribution centres in the Milton Keynes area. Key to the operation's success is Yusen's expertise in managing seasonal peaks such as "back to school", with a huge requirement for labelling, bundling and preparation for presentation for retailers.

Further to the success of this longstanding UK operation, Yusen Logistics has commenced operations for Casio in Brazil, with members of the Brazilian team visiting the UK operation to ensure best practice transfer.
