BITO has expanded its sales force into Ireland. Belfast-based Stephen Finlay now represents BITO's full product range, including their 164 page "Fast Track" product catalogue.

Stephan Finlay, who has 25 years' experience in the storage and materials handling industry, will be promoting a broad range of products from small parts containers to large turnkey projects, reflecting BITO's philosophy of a "concept to completion" project management ethos. The company's customer base for the whole of Ireland includes end-user OEM businesses in sectors such as food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, fashion retail and electronics. These include Next, Caterpillar, LIDL & AAH Pharmaceuticals.

According to Finlay, customers across Ireland will now be offered a more complete product range - everything from plastic bins to dynamic storage. He said: "BITO is at the top of the list of high quality materials handling manufacturers and my expertise fits perfectly with its product range. We are very excited to enable companies to now buy all of their materials handling products directly from the manufacturer."

As a manufacturer, partner and provider of storage and order picking system, BITO performs all tasks from layout planning over project management to assembly and after-sales service. This includes complex storage facilities combining different systems or automated installations for bin or tray storage. This representation creates a local service with the peace of mind and re-assurance of an international group.

Commenting on the establishment of an agent in Ireland, Edward Hutchison, MD of BITO Storage Systems in the UK, said: "Ireland has always been a reactive market for BITO, where we were answering enquiries on the back of our high quality reputation. With Stephen Finlay as our manager in Ireland, BITO can be more proactive in the Irish market. We can offer our full range of materials handling solutions with stock held locally for low lead times."

Finlay adds: "Like other markets, Ireland is emerging from a period of difficult economic conditions. It terms of projects and enquires, confidence is clearly returning and companies are investing more in materials handling. They want high quality solutions and products, with good service and at a competitive price. BITO is renowned for offering this combination of qualities.   It is great news for the Irish materials handling market that BITO - a highly renowned, long established, leading company with global operations - is seeking to forge and develop long-term partnerships with customers in Ireland."
