UK packaging distributor, Macfarlane Packaging, has teamed up with WeStore, the storage-by-the-box company, resulting in what is described as a unique exhibition of cardboard sculptures.

The exhibition is a result of the hard work of budding young design students who were challenged to get creative with over 1,000 cardboard boxes to develop some stunning sculptures.

The exhibition opened last week at the Google Campus in London, and was attended by many guests who got to see all of the students' work on display. The fantastic creations included an angle poise lamp, a turntable, a birdcage, a typewriter, jukebox, rocking horse and even a fish tank!

Laurel Granville, Marketing Director of Macfarlane Packaging, said: "We were excited to be involved in this unique event which has produced some amazing creations using Macfarlane Packaging boxes. We donated over 1,000 boxes for the event and we hope that the young creatives involved have benefited from the experience. All the cardboard we provided is made of recycled material and is fully recyclable, unless the students want to take the work home with them and use the sculptures as part of their design portfolios!"

Henry Villiers, CEO of WeStore said: "It's no secret. Storage isn't exciting. The truth is that people care much more how they're going to use the space than how they're going to clear it. That's why we've challenged students to think outside-of-the-box, by imagining what they could do with the space."
