Core Management Logistics (CML) has selected Canadian firm Accellos to support its growing new customer base.

The Lutterworth-based warehousing and logistics specialist has invested over £500,000 in a new warehouse management system (WMS) as part of a long-term growth strategy. This will result in CML being able to support its expanding service offering, handle complex integration and offer holistic stock control.

Globally used by many blue chip companies, the Accellos WMS is the ideal solution for CML's growing customer database. Winning new contracts in the last eighteen months with high profile customers including Halfords, Triumph and Björn Borg, the logistics firm has identified the need to invest in its multichannel capabilities, as well as facilitate their ability to support the growing trend for omni-channel retailing.

Graham Copley, Managing Director at CML, comments, "The diversity of the new accounts we are currently experiencing creates new levels of complexity for strategic integration and distribution. A world-class, efficient WMS is one of the key customer considerations when choosing a 3PL company like us.

"We needed a solution to help us extend our integration capabilities, connect with client systems quickly via in-house development, as well as provide a portal for customers to view a live stock position round the clock. Accellos were able to provide all the features we were looking for within one attractive and integrated solution, which will not only serve and facilitate current customers, but also adapt to those we work with in the future."

Costing in excess of £500,000, which includes the project team and training costs, CML are not cutting any corners when it comes to reliability and quality and are investing heavily in their long-term future. Highly rated in Gartner's 'Magic Quadrant' for warehouse management systems, Accellos provides CML with a highly configurable and sophisticated WMS solution. With the ability to create bespoke workflows for each individual customer, from the most simple to the most complex of operational processes, Accellos offers CML a market leading systems solution robust enough to support the ever-changing demands of current and new customers long into the future.

Graham adds, "We have to prepare for the new challenges ahead and logistics and warehousing is forever changing. Many customers are now evolving from multichannel to omni-channel retailing and we are committed to moving with the industry to ensure we are the company of choice for leading brands and retailers, offering highly flexible and bespoke warehousing solutions."

Centrally based at Magna Park in Lutterworth, CML is a privately owned supply-chain services company specialising in retail warehousing and distribution, along with global freight forwarding services. Their 270,000 sq ft warehouse services retail giants and they provide bespoke solutions for many other distinguished brands and suppliers.
