Rum Warehouse to host World Merit Day Dinner

A grand and inspiring event space located in Liverpool's historic maritime district has been chosen to host a world class banquet.

On Thursday, 24 July the Rum Warehouse at Titanic Hotel Liverpool, will cater to guests following the 'World Merit Day' What Matters? conference and concert.

As one of the International Festival for Business's (IFB) most popular events, the conference held at Liverpool's BT Convention Centre will challenge young people to think "What Matters?" to their generation.

The Titanic Hotel will host a world class banquet following the ‘World Merit Day’ What Matters? conference.

Globally recognised peace and education activist 16-year-old Malala Yousafzai has been announced as the keynote speaker. Malala who comes from Pakistan, has made a remarkable recovery after an attempted assassination by the Taliban in October 2012 whilst she was travelling home from school on the bus with her friends.

Following the attack, Malala was flown to Birmingham to receive treatment and following her recovery now speaks to promote the need for education for every child in the world.

Kerry Smith, Sales and Marketing Director at Titanic Hotel Liverpool said: "We are honoured to welcome Malala and so many dignified guests to the Rum Warehouse for the final stage of 'World Merit Day'.

"The line-up of speakers is truly phenomenal and with our UNESCO World Heritage Site status the stage is truly set to host a banquet on this momentous occassion."

Guests will be greeted with drinks on arrival followed by a three course meal specifically designed by industry acclaimed head chef Phil Green.

Kerry added: "Our staff have a genuine devotion to quality and customer service. From start to finish guests will feel at home and relaxed whilst dining in such a grand, exciting environment."

The Rum Warehouse has been restored to retain its original features such as its floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views onto Stanley Dock and the adjacent Tobacco Warehouse.

It combines two floors with a range of boardrooms and breakout spaces, three bars, full black-out capability, outside terraces, high speed internet and onsite free coach and car parking.
