£2.25 million funding boost for Axis Fleet Management

Oxford-based Axis Fleet Management, a specialist in commercial vehicle hire and fleet management, is to extend its product range following £2.25 million in funding from Santander Corporate & Commercial.

Axis Fleet Management leases over 2,000 vehicle assets in the UK, including trucks and trailers, and is benefitting from strong demand for its services.  The business has seen annual revenues grow to £33 million and profit hit £2.5 million, and has now begun to purchase more vehicles to fulfil new business opportunities.

The firm is led by Managing Director David Potter, who has 25 years' experience in the logistics and supply chain market place. He was previously Vice President of Operations at DHL Supply Chain and Transport Strategy Director of Exel Supply Chain. Axis Fleet Management is part of the Axis Group, established in Germany in 1995, which manages over 23,000 transport assets worldwide with subsidiaries also in Hong Kong and the US. The business now has 30 of the top 100 logistics companies as customers including DHL and Gist.
