Warwickshire-based Panther Warehousing continues to respond to changing shopping trends with the introduction of two more services in a bid to provide busy consumers with greater flexibility over timed deliveries.

Panther, which has gained a proven reputation in both two-man and one-man assisted deliveries, is now offering a pre-10am and pre 12pm service  - with a cut-off point for orders as late as 10pm.

Household furniture and appliances accounts for the bulk of Panther's business although the company also offers B2B delivery.

Colin McCarthy, Managing Director of Panther, said: "Contemporary shopping trends are changing with more people ordering online in the evening. Gone are the days when you order a sofa and only get it weeks later. Now you can order at 9.55pm and be sitting on your sofa the very next morning. We know that most people want their products quickly with a set, guaranteed delivery slot. This way they don't have to spend a whole day waiting around for their goods, whether this is a TV or a fridge freezer."

These latest initiatives join a growing portfolio of services – they come hot on the heels of a new Saturday service – extending its delivery service to six days a week - and a new assembly and installation offering for consumers receiving brown or white goods.

At the same time Panther is stepping up its track and trace facilities, offering live routing so that consignees and end customers will be able to monitor the progress of their delivery van in real time.

Panther is expanding quickly with new depots in Peterlee, in the north east and Taunton, in the south west.  One-man assisted delivery, another recent offering, has enabled Panther to deliver household appliances or other items such as doors and mirrors. The increased service portfolio has helped Panther secure a string of new contracts worth around £35 million in just 12 months.
