Acumen Distribution invests in Optima Warehouse Management System

Acumen Distribution Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Acumen Logistics Group, has invested in an Optima Warehouse Management System for its 50,000 sq. ft. facility in Halewood, Liverpool to cater for new business from July 2014.

Improving the warehousing process, the modular system provides customers with numerous additional benefits including downloading orders, storing efficiently in the right location and conditions, pick/pack, despatch and inventory. It can also import orders, track stock, record despatches and produce real time reports for clients and end customers.

Comprising of 3500 pallet spaces as well as bulk storage, picking areas, offices and ancillary areas, the warehouse facility is situated in Speke Boulevard close to Junction 6 of the M62 and the Halewood manufacturing plant of Jaguar Land Rover.   The site offers a 24-hour service to handle inbound goods for selection and Just-in-time and Just-in- sequenced delivery to customers.

Acumen has been growing steadily over the past three years by offering customers a diverse range of services.  These include inbound automotive parts, kerbside-recycling collections and distribution as well as finished vehicle transportation.
