Four-fold increase in members for Returnloads.net

UK Road Haulage Marketplace Returnloads.net is celebrating a four-fold increase in members in the year since the site was relaunched.

Returnloads.net was relaunched in autumn 2012, incorporating the first fully-integrated user review system for online haulage, amongst a host of other features.

Along with the increase in members, Returnloads.net has also seen the number of loads available each day reach between 3,000 and 4,000, equating to more than £1million daily in transactional value.

Richard Newbold, group chairman and managing director, said: "The road haulage industry operates on low margins so reducing empty running has to be a priority. The increase in Returnloads.net members and loads, reflects that hauliers are embracing the return loads system to improve their efficiency and profits.

"Returnloads.net members have told us that they have saved up to 6 per cent of their costs by using our site. Saving our members money is our main objective, providing value for money whilst cutting down their costs."

Returnloads.net also continues to add new features to the site to improve the user experience, without passing the costs on to its members. Recent additions include enhancing the quick search function and tailoring this to members' locations, as well as adding new vehicle types to make searches for suitable loads even easier.
