Nowadays, reliable, high-quality and cost-effective high-tech solutions are a prerequisite for smooth-running maritime traffic, shipping lines, ports, transport and logistics. Together with its partner Luceor, Advantech-DLoG will be presenting effective solutions for container logistics at TOC Europe, which will be held in the port of Rotterdam from June 25-27, 2013.

"Advantech-DLoG offers an extensive portfolio of fully rugged and rugged vehicle mount terminals for port applications. The certified computer solutions are already used in 50 ports all over the world," explains Thomas Schwarz, Vehicle Mount Terminal Product Manager at Advantech-DLoG. The computer solutions can be installed, for example, in dockside gantry and container cranes, straddle loaders, automated guided vehicles (AGV), yard trucks etc.

Products for video surveillance, management and tracking of container chassis or tractor management are on offer. Specially developed antennas and different models allow long-range wireless networks like WLAN, WWAN and GPS. Vehicle computers with voice control complement the solutions for industrial automation in a port environment.
The industrial PCs are mainly used to manage terminal operations – supported by the terminal operating systems (TOS).

Examples of Advantech-DLoG products for ports and container terminals:

MTC 6, DLT-V8310: Robust and future-proof vehicle mount computers with WWAN functionality for all applications in the container supply chain. The MTC 6 series is certified to be compatible to run Navis TOS (SPARCS 3.7 and SPARCS N4) and Master Terminal Vehicle Mounted Mobile Applications (Jade).

PWS 770 industrial tablet PC: Equipped for mobile use, such as monitoring the RoRo traffic1, around the port.

TREK series, XMT 5/7'': Small and compact vehicle terminals with extensive functionality that also provide a wide range of telematics applications - ideal for use in tractors. The XMT 5 series was successfully tested and certified by Navis to be compatible with their TOS SPARCS 3.7 and SPARCS N4.

Explanatory notes:
