Gist adds 20 lifting floor 44 pallet trailers to fleet

Gist has added another 20 lifting floor, double-decker, 44-pallet trailers to their temperature-controlled fleet.

These vehicles offer a 10 per cent increase in pallet carrying capacity compared to a standard 13.6m double-decker. The wide-radius edge capping and vortex generator at the rear smooth airflow and reduce fuel consumption. The vehicle is fitted with 445/45 R.19.5 tyres also widen the track resulting in greater stability and reduced tyre wear.

The trailers are tailored precisely to meet Gist's requirements for delivering customers' fresh and chilled foods, dairy and cut flowers for high street and other supermarket retailers around the UK and Europe.

In the last year Gist has added 40 double-deckers to their fleet increasing pallet capacity by over 50% compared to standard 26 pallet trailers.
