Schools, colleges and universities as well as logistics employers and training providers are invited to attend the 'Breakfast with Logistics' events, which are being held at the Novotel Milton Keynes on 15th May and the Novotel Coventry on 23rd of May. Delegates will also get a chance to win an iPad, simply by filling out a card.

The free to attend, 'trade-fair style' events will feature table-top displays focusing on various Skills for Logistics programmes, giving the perfect opportunity to discuss their benefits with experts and arrange one to one meetings. Delegates must re-register.

Susan Chapman, Programme Manager at Skills for Logistics, said: "The Logistics Industry needs new blood and Breakfast with Logistics is a great way to explain how we can help employers start recruits at entry level and then develop them in their own way. We also look forward to discussing with visitors from schools and colleges, the ways in which we can convey to pupils seeking careers how great the Logistics Industry is to work in, the career path open to recruits and the willingness of employers to develop talent."

A highlight programme will be the Logistics Locker, a new web site being launched by Skills for Logistics to help employers, schools and colleges to engage with each other. Other featured SfL schemes include the Professional Development Stairway, Labour Market Intelligence, the Skills Calculator, Mentoring and the Job Club.

Registration in Milton Keynes opens at 8 am with breakfast available at 8.30am. Paul Brooks, Chairman of Skills for Logistics, will launch proceedings with a presentation at 9am and between the morning's networking periods, Toni Eastwood, founder of Beyond 2030, will provide a second presentation at 11am. The event will close at 12.30pm. The Coventry event will have the same format.
