Members of palletised distribution network Palletforce have raised £10,000 for two charities at the Palletforce AGM. Representatives from the members gathered for the AGM recently at the Chesford Grange Hotel in Kenilworth. During the evening an auction and raffle was held to raise funds for Brain Tumour UK and Midlands Air Ambulance, Palletforce's nominated charities.

"Palletforce has chosen to support us for the second year in a row which is great and they are supporting us in other ways as well, such as attending one of our balls and a golf day," said Tracey Dunn, fundraiser at Brain Tumour UK.

"The money will either be used for our research at Nottingham University into improved drug administration or for one of our support groups for people with brain tumours."

Sarah Arnold, Corporate Fundraising Manager with the Midlands Air Ambulance, said: "The charity relies on public generosity to operate and the support of key businesses is vital in ensuring the lifesaving charity can continue.

"The monies raised will directly save lives. Thank you to Palletforce for their wonderful support and a fantastic fundraising evening."

Prizes in the auction included a signed Mo Farah photo montage, a McLaren cap signed by Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton and VIP tickets to an England/Australia cricket match.

Raffle prizes included a case of champagne, Apple iPad and a supercar experience.

"Once again our members have been incredibly generous and helped us to raise funds that will make a real difference to these two charities that do such brilliant work," said Michael Conroy, Chief Executive of Palletforce.

"At Palletforce there is a deeply embedded culture of striving to be the best and the level of support and dedication we receive from our members ensures we provide a quality service to all our customers."
