Easilift Loading Systems strengthens management team with new shareholder

Loading bay solutions provider Easilift Loading Systems has announced that Jon Tridgell, the company's Operations Director, has become a shareholder in the company, further strengthening its UK management team.

Jon originally took the position of Operations Director in January 2012 after Laweco UK – for whom he was a Co-Director – was amalgamated into Easilift, as part of the deal that saw Easilift Loading Systems become sole UK distributor for Laweco GmbH's market-leading range of loading platforms and scissor lifts.

Having worked closely with Easilift for many years in his capacity with Laweco UK, Jon has long been an enthusiastic advocate of the company's expertise in loading bay solutions.  "Laweco and Easilift collaborated on a large number of bespoke, state-of-the-art double-deck trailer (DDT) projects, so it made sense to join forces on a more formal footing.

"We are now in a position to become a total supplier of loading bay solutions with the infrastructure and expertise to deliver complex and pioneering DDT installations," he adds.

Jon's background in design and project management – which includes his prior stewardship of the Association of Loading and Elevating Equipment Manufacturers (ALEM), as well as an extensive knowledge of lifting platform technology –  is seen by the company as an ideal complement to his fellow directors, Managing Director Rob Fay, and Sales Director David Whyatt.

"Investment comes from hard work, and Dave and I are delighted that Jon is joining us as a shareholder in the business," confirms Rob Fay.  "It's gratifying to know that we are working with someone who is prepared to put his money on the table and get stuck in alongside us in taking Easilift Loading Systems forward."

While the Netherlands-based Loading Systems group remains the major shareholder, Jon's stake extends the influence of the UK management team in order to enhance the services and solutions that Easilift Loading Systems provides.

"We are very pleased with the commitment from our Executive Officers at Loading Systems in Holland, who have supported our desire to see Jon come on board," explains Rob Fay.  "As the UK is one of Europe's most forward-thinking and innovative markets in terms of loading bay applications, that means we are very much at the forefront in terms of bringing Loading Systems' products and expertise to market, and Jon is an integral part of this."
