Anglia Freight Ltd, the distribution and logistics specialists based in Eye, Suffolk has announced a strategic expansion with the launch of a freight forwarding division within the company's existing portfolio of services.

This move is in line with Anglia Freight's multimodal growth strategy and builds upon a foundation of established services already offered both to and from the European marketplace. Anglia Freight now provides an extensive portfolio of logistics related services to a worldwide customer base, moving a diverse range of cargos from raw materials to manufactured goods. Projects currently range from single pallet consignments to multiple container movements.

This latest initiative is based on increasing customer demand for managed services offering a blend of global air and sea freight options, customs consultancy, import tax reduction initiatives, purchase order management and cargo insurance brokerage.

"Early responses from both existing and potential customers are proving very encouraging, and we anticipate a £2M increase in turnover by the end of 2013," stated Managing Director Geoff Moulton. "It's not a new field for us - we have handled requests from existing customers for some years - but the new division means we can manage all aspects of the work in-house, using multiple service options to provide tailored and highly cost effective solutions."

The service is already proving popular with businesses based in East Anglia. St Peter's Brewery Company brews an award winning range of finest quality traditional and speciality beers and ales as well as some more unusual tipples including honey porter and fruit beer, and trades in twenty three countries. Anglia Freight's freight forwarding division is now bringing in full trailer loads of bottles sourced in Spain to meet demand. "We have been working with Anglia Freight for some years now, and this is a logical extension to the company's services, providing us with a highly competitive service," stated Managing Director Colin Cordy.
