Group Stef announces its acquisition of 100% of KL Services effective October 29. The operation has received the green light from the competition Authority. This acquisition strengthens the position and the expertise of Stef on the logistics market for out-of-home catering and restaurants in France.
KL Services is a company specialised in logistics for out-of-home catering and restaurants in France since 2004. The company has 50 employees, delivers to 500 restaurants in France and operates from a multi-temperature warehouse in Trappes (Yvelines). In 2011, KL Services' sales in logistics totalled 14 million Euros (trading excluded), with a customer portfolio of well-known and dynamic restaurant brands: Courtepaille, Mezzo di Pasta and La Pataterie.
Stef is active on the market for out-of-home catering and restaurants logistics through its specialised affiliate Stef Logistique Restauration. This company has 260 employees and operates from two multi-temperature sites in Bondoufle (Essonne) and Salon-de-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône). In 2011, the company had sales of 43 million Euros (trading excluded) with a diversified portfolio of clients which includes major private and public entities: Subway, KFC, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Economat des Armées and Servair.
This external growth operation brings Stef synergies in terms of clients, products, distribution zones and services (procurement and storage management). The combined entity offers solutions best adapted to the complexity of logistics operations and the complementary services needed for restaurant chains (trading, commercial management, after-sales services....). It will profit from the expertise of KL Services teams in the field of procurement appraisal and management and in the management of purchase price fluctuations.
