Palletforce founder member R G Bassett & Sons has upgraded its fleet with a new truck in the branding of the UK palletised distribution network. The company, based in Stoke-on-Trent, has invested in the DAF 18 tonne rigid truck as part of its ongoing vehicle replacement programme. This particular vehicle will mainly be used for local Palletforce deliveries within the ST postcode area.

"By investing regularly in new additions to our fleet we ensure that our high standards of reliability are maintained," said Claire Bassett, Director of R G Bassett & Sons. "The new livery is very striking and it will certainly stand out on the roads."

R G Bassett & Sons, a family-run firm established in 1897, runs a fleet of 45 vehicles and 80 trailers, including five double deck trailers in Palletforce livery that are used for deliveries to Palletforce's 400,000 sq ft Hub in the Midlands.

"We are very proud to work with such a well-established and well-respected firm like R G Bassett & Sons and thank them for their continued investment in providing a quality service," said Michael Conroy, Chief Executive of Palletforce. "The sustained commitment of all our members is a source of great pride and is a driving force behind our success and growth."

Palletforce is a network of transport companies who work together to make efficient deliveries across the UK and Europe. By working together they help cut the number of empty trucks running on the roads and reduce the amount of unnecessary journeys being made.
