Cartwright has launched a new integral tail-lift for its product range. The new tail-lift is manufactured and supplied directly by the company.

The Cartwright new integral tail-lift is already being operated by a number of high street retailers. It has a two tonne capacity and is designed to be integral with the rear frame of the trailer. It is only supplied as part of Cartwright product. The main feature of the tail-lift from Cartwright is that instead of having conventional wander-led control, it features a fixed control that travels with the lift reducing the prospect of damage particularly between the wires and platform. Cartwright claim that repair and maintenance compared to traditional tail-lifts will be a lot less.

Normally trailers are built with a back frame and a tail-lift is purchased separately. This involves duplication of materials and more cost and weight. By making the back frame and tail-lift at the same time, customers can benefit from cost savings and savings on weight which enhances fuel savings and reduces customers' carbon footprint. The integral tail-lift design can apply to any kind of trailer manufactured by Cartwright.

The Cartwright tail-lift is very user friendly, smarter and operationally more efficient. It has improved the problem of lots of wires being exposed and operators simply pivot the safety gates out rather than having to lift them which isn't an easy task.

Through Cartwright's UK maintenance agents the company can also provide a 24 hour breakdown as well as parts and service.  The product is a natural progression from the family of moving deck systems Cartwright already offers.

Steven Cartwright Director of Cartwright commented: "This is a revolutionary new tail-lift design from Cartwright and is yet another innovation from our experienced design team that is pushing back the boundaries for the benefit of our customers. Its integral design offers many benefits including operational efficiency, more user friendly, reduced damage and weight savings improving carbon footprint. It is yet another added value benefit to customers buying Cartwright product, whether it be a rigid or a double deck trailer."
