The Fortec Pallet Distribution Network has appointed a new Regional Commercial Manager for the North. In his new role Chris Dennigan will work closely with Fortec's 65-strong network of licensees, helping them to grow their customer portfolio. He will also be responsible for generating more business across Scotland and the north of England, down to Crewe in Cheshire.

Chris joins Fortec from City Link, where he worked for 10 years. Starting out at the company's Kettering Depot as Operations Manager, he transferred to Northampton in the same role. In 2009 he moved to City Link in Leicester as General Manager and in 2010 transferred to the company's Coventry depot, also as General Manager.

Chris said: "I am delighted to be joining the Fortec network. It's a new role and a new challenge for me but in another way it's gone full circle as I will be working with many former colleagues from City Link. I am delighted to be working with them again and excited about the challenge."

Neil Hodgson, Managing Director of the Fortec Pallet Distribution Network, said: "We are delighted to welcome Chris to the Fortec network. He has worked in the transport industry a long time and brings a wealth of experience to our company. We are confident he will prove a valuable asset in driving Fortec forward and he is of course offered our full support in this role."

Chris lives in Rugby, Warwickshire, with fiance Claire Freeman and has two daughters, Sophie and Ella, aged six and one. In his spare time he is a self-proclaimed avid rugby fan and supports the Leicester Tigers.
