Palletforce members and staff have raised more than 6,500 for two charities dedicated to saving lives. The cash was raised through an auction at Palletforce's AGM where prizes included two tickets to the Formula 1 British Grand Prix donated by Shell, a signed Henry Cooper photo montage and a VIP trip for two to an England football match donated by Toyota.

A total of 6,800 was raised and will be split between the Midlands Air Ambulance and the Joseph Foote Trust. "A fantastic amount of money was raised for two incredible charities whose work we are proud to support," said Dave Holland, Sales and Marketing Director at Palletforce. I would like to thank everyone who donated prizes for our auction and our members for their support and generosity."

The Midlands Air Ambulance operate three air ambulances complete with pilot, two paramedics or Flight Doctors and life-support medical equipment, and the Joseph Foote Trust raises funds for research into brain tumours.

"I would like to say a massive thank you to Palletforce for supporting The Joseph Foote Trust," said Tracey Dunn from the charity. "With their help we are able to continue vital research and patient support aimed at improving the quality of life for those suffering from a brain tumour."

Stef Langford-Brown, Corporate Fundraising Manager for Midlands Air Ambulance, said: "It is only through support such as this, that we are able to continue to operate our life saving service.  Without Government or Lottery funding, we rely totally on donations from the general public and local businesses, so we are delighted to be working with Palletforce once again this year."
