IQA Group selects FleetMatics GPS to improve customer service

IQA Group has selected FleetMatics' GPS tracking to effectively develop better customer service practices. The GPS tracking technology will offer IQA Group more visibility into day-to-day fleet operations making it easier to ensure fast and efficient service to customers.

IQA Group developed a high reputation in the utilities and electrical contracting industry by following the "IQA Way" of doing business. The "IQA Way" stresses quality services, customer satisfaction, continuous improvements, integrity and valuing employees. The company wanted to improve upon this ideology and believed GPS fleet tracking could help the company further its commitment to its customers and employees. After researching several GPS providers, IQA Group chose to install the FleetMatics GPS Tracking System on its 45 vehicles.

In addition, FleetMatics gives dispatchers the ability to assign jobs in a way that maximises productivity, since client appointments are constantly being added or changed throughout the day.

"Clients like to know that we keep an eye on our fleet," said Mr. Feeney. "They can see that we are trying to improve as a business."

With efficient routing and dispatching comes the added benefit of reduced fuel costs and improved customer service. Fewer miles travelled between jobs means that no fuel is wasted on "scenic" journeys and drivers arrive to job sites more quickly than ever. In addition, FleetMatics GPS monitors idle times, which has helped IQA save further on fuel and avoid fines for excessive idling. "We have experienced significant savings since installing FleetMatics. Our average monthly fuel costs have decreased by 10%," said Mr. Feeney. "We are quite pleased with that. The initial improvements have been so good that we haven't had time to see everything else the system can do for us!"
