Cartwright has commenced delivery of the first of 100 Cheetah Fastback trailers for new parcels brand Yodel. The trailers, the first for Yodel, have a distinctive livery and are set to create a visual impact on the UK's roads and motorways.
Yodel, the fresh new brand in parcel delivery was created following Home Delivery Network's purchase of the domestic B2B and B2C businesses of DHL Express (UK) Ltd. The trailers are Cartwright's latest generation Cheetah trailer, the Fastback. The distinctive design is well proven and has been enhanced with updated side skirts and has an aerodynamic rear roof profile.
Brian Wheadon, Yodel's Support Services Director, was impressed by the appearance and environmental credentials of the Cheetah Fastback trailer. He said: "To put the Yodel brand on the road, we wanted a trailer that uses the latest aerodynamic technology and complemented our thinking for the environment. We believe the Cheetah Fastback from Cartwright helps us achieve this."
Brian Wheadon continued: "The Cheetah Fastback has a number of benefits. We can make full use of its overall cubic capacity, it has a low overall running height, and its aerodynamic design saves fuel. These are all very attractive to us, enabling us to reduce our CO2 emissions."

The current fashion of shaping a body or trailer profile, by increasing the overall height, has a negative effect on fuel efficiency. The lower the trailer, the more fuel efficient it becomes."
