Caledonian Logistics and PC Howard have scooped top awards at the fourth annual National Sales Convention of Palletways, the European pallet network. Aberdeen-based Caledonian Logistics was named the winner of 'The Palletways Europe GmbH Award' for turning in the best European business performance across the entire Palletways UK network.

Bruce Macmillian, development manager at Northamptonshire-based PC Howard, was named Palletways Commercial Development Champion 2009/2010. The award recognises the best business development performers among Palletways' network of more than 100 member companies and Bruce was selected from a list of nine finalists from across the country.

"This is the fourth year we have held our sales awards and the standards of performance have been consistently impressive each year," said Craig Hibbert, managing director of Palletways UK. "The growth of our individual member companies plays a vital role in the success of our network and both Caledonian Logistics and PC Howard deserve recognition for the very high standard of work they have put into developing their businesses."

The Palletways Group, which was founded in 1994, has more than 270 depots across the UK and mainland Europe and handles around 21,000 pallets a day through eight hub facilities across Europe.  The Group's distribution networks in the UK and mainland Europe are supported by an unrivalled and fully integrated IT infrastructure, which allows customers to track and trace consignments using the internet.
