Egemin opens Chinese offices

Egemin Automation has announced the establishment of two offices in Shanghai and Hong Kong. With the new offices Egemin aims to further support the expansion of its internal logistics automation products (Automated Guided Vehicles, Automated Warehouses & Distribution, In-floor Chain Conveyor Systems) in the Southeast Asian market.

In addition to the traditional key markets in Europe and the United States, Egemin Automation has been focusing increasingly on Southeast Asia in the last few years. In order to support this expansion, Egemin Automation has now decided to establish two new offices in Shanghai and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

The Shanghai office, Egemin (Shanghai) Automation Technology Trading and Consultancy Ltd., will focus on the sales and installation of logistics automation products and solutions for the Chinese market. The Hong Kong office, Egemin Asia Pacific Ltd., will concentrate on the Southeast Asian market (Japan, South Korea, etc.) as well as Australia and New Zealand, where Egemin has installed several automated guided vehicle systems over the past years.

Success stories in China and in the home markets

Egemin Automation has had quite a few successes in China over the last few years. Besides the partners who install licensed Egv technology (Egemin Guided Vehicle), Egemin has also carried out several logistics automation projects itself together with local partners (AGV projects, automated warehouses, in-floor chain conveyor projects).

Egemin Automation focuses both on European and local Chinese companies with intralogistics automation plans for the Chinese market. From now on, Egemin will also support its existing and new licensees from China. Egemin Automaton is looking for local staff with a thorough knowledge of the market and of Egemin products for both offices.

2010 is proving itself to be a record year for the entire Egemin Group when it comes to sold and installed AGV systems and technology. Despite the fact that the automation market is picking up very slowly, Egemin is doing notably better than average. Moreover, Egemin expects the market to recover further and is counting on a large number of new orders over the coming months. Increased efficiency, sustainable development and reliability are increasingly mentioned by many companies as the main reasons to choose for automaton. To support this growth, Egemin is continuously looking for new project staff with experience in project management and execution.
