Twinings Teas, the famous high quality tea producer, has ordered a fleet of five Flexi articulated forklift trucks from Flexi Narrow Aisle Ltd for use in their prestigious recently opened facility in Poland. The new unit was needed to cater for the growing taste for quality tea in continental Europe and the Flexis will work both within factory and the raw materials and finished goods warehouses at the plant. Twinings chose the Flexi trucks after an extensive evaluation process that involved trials of various different truck types working in a number of aisle widths.

The trucks ordered are Flexi HiMAX models -  heavy duty compact four wheel articulated forklift trucks, designed to provide the maximum storage density. The fact that the truck has a four wheel configuration with true articulation means that stability is not compromised and this was a significant factor in Twinings' selection process as each pallet load of tea weighs up to 1.6 tonnes.
John Maguire, sales and marketing director of Flexi Narrow Aisle, commented: "Twinings obviously needed a proven and efficient storage solution to support their growth. The ability to run their operation reliably and efficiently is critical to the company's ongoing success and they identified that the Flexi will bring a number of benefits to the logistics operation."

Flexi Narrow Aisle's established European distributor network gave Twinings the confidence to take advantage of the cost saving benefits that the Flexi offered at their Poland site. Flexi Narrow Aisle's local service provider in Poland will provide a fully inclusive parts and labour service at a fixed annual cost for five years.
