6th Gear Logistics has launched a specialist car transportation service for companies needing to move valuable or 'secret' vehicles in covered transporters anywhere in Europe. Aimed particularly at those involved with automotive testing and development, the design, marketing and PR departments of car manufacturers & importers, racing teams, the classic market and prestige car dealerships, the service might also be helpful for those concerned with film/TV production, exhibitions and events.
The company is operating four DAF XF 95 480HP tractor units complete with Montracon covered double-deck skirted race car transporters capable of carrying six vehicles up to a head height of 1450mm. This means they have the capacity for carrying prototype and supercar sized vehicles, and all trailer units are fitted with Dhollandia 2 ton 2 stage tail lifts. The service operates throughout the UK and Europe offering a bespoke solution to clients looking for either one-off or regular deliveries, and provides comprehensive insurance cover for vehicles carried.
