CEVA Logistics has signed a contract worth 19 million with Peacocks, the value fashion retailer. CEVA has a long-standing relationship with Peacocks spanning 14 years providing air import services managed through its Cardiff freight management station.  Under the new contract CEVA will handle all Peacocks' ocean inbound supply chain. CEVA will work in partnership with Peacocks to transform their international logistics flow of fashion products, clothing, jewellery, footwear and CD's.

Key to the successful partnership is CEVA's Ocean Plus solution which will deliver comprehensive management of product movement from order placement to delivery into Peacocks' regional distribution centers. CEVA's Ocean Plus team at control towers in Hong Kong and Birmingham, UK, will control the movement of over 6,000 containers from more than 400 suppliers. CEVA's solution will provide Peacocks' merchandisers with real-time visibility, critical to ensuring stock levels are optimised.

David Kernick, Import Manager, Peacocks explains:  "We have an excellent relationship with CEVA's airfreight team and this was part of the reason we selected CEVA to manage our ocean transportation.  CEVA is also one of the very few large global forwarders to still retain a dedicated freight management office in South Wales, and their proximity to our central administration offices in Cardiff and to our distribution centres located in Merthyr, Nantgarw, Wattstown and Pentre, was another extremely important factor.  Their Ocean Plus solution is also robust and dynamic enough to meet our ambitious plans for the future."

Michael O'Donoghue, CEVA's Managing Director, Freight Management UK & Ireland said: "We are delighted that Peacocks has expanded their relationship with CEVA.  This organic growth is a result of the operational excellence we provide in airfreight management services and we look forward to revolutionising their supply chain with the introduction of Ocean Plus.
