Seafield Logistics wins contract with Tripp

The UK based luggage retailer Tripp has awarded Seafield Logistics a five year warehousing contract.

Tripp is the exclusive luggage retailer in Debenhams with 114 locations in the  UK and Ireland. Tripp work with the UK's top fashion designers to create distinctive collections to suit jet-setting fashionists, as Jasper Conran at Tripp has classic shapes, fashion led fabrication and a stylish finish. Orla Kiely Travel is Tripp's latest designer collaboration with an identifiable collection of practical suitcases in Orla's quirky and off-beat graphic style.

Tripp awarded the contract to Seafield following an in depth competitive tendering process. Seafield will be operating a 41,000 sq ft warehouse at Claylands Avenue in Worksop, where they will receive, store, pick and pack luggage for Tripp.

In addition Seafield will be providing the logistics support for internet orders received through Tripps own website which can be found on as well as luggage orders received through Debenhams website

The contract will require additional labour resource. Whilst it is anticipated a number of Tripps existing staff will transfer to the new site it is likely that new roles will be created as a result of Seafield winning the contract.

Craig Clingan, Director of Logistics for Tripp, commented Tripp operates a lean supply chain; as a consequence it is imperative that our partners offer a service where speed, reliability and choice are standard.

Seafield Logistics have taken the time to understand our business and ensure that our priorities are their priorities. At all times throughout the tender process Seafield have shown willing to, go that extra mile and as such this has created a real partnership that is adaptive to these times and able to productively engage in searching for solutions to common problems, this attitude is essential in uncertain times will only add value to our business.

Through this partnership Tripp will gain enhanced visibility of our supply chain, this combined with the dynamic management at Seafield will give us a real competitive advantage throughout the business.

Mark Strong, Managing Director of Seafield Logistics comments Clearly we are delighted to have been successful in winning this prestigious business and to be associated with such a progressive and go ahead company like Tripp. I am pleased that the consistently high level of service provided to the existing warehouse customers at Claylands Avenue has been recognised with the award of this new business
