Felixstowe-based LM Logistics has shown its commitment to its client DB Schenker by taking delivery of a new Mercedes Actros 2532L in the DB Schenker livery.

LM Logistics provides warehousing and handling services for DB Schenkers import consolidation services under the Customs controlled ERTS scheme from its 310,000 sq ft warehouse at Felixstowe. LM handles the entire process from the time the vessel arrives, including the rapid unloading of the cargo from the container and ensuring adequate wrapping and palletising in preparation for delivery to the UK customer.

The vehicle, boasting the latest low emission Euro 5 320bhp engine is one of 23 vehicles in LM Logistics delivery fleet, ranging in size from Sprinter Vans to 44 tonne vehicles. The 6 x 2 curtain sider, fitted with a 1500kg tuck away tail-lift has rear double doors with nearside to offside overlap, allowing for safe single door kerbside opening delivery access, helping make difficult to access delivery points that much easier for both driver and customer.

We select our vehicles carefully to best fit the jobs they need to do, explains Managing Director Tony Barnes. With this fleet and supported by our membership of the UKs number one pallet network, Pall-Ex, we can meet any delivery requirements for DB Schenker and our growing list of other customers, both domestically and through the port.
