New AC pallet trucks

Hyster Europe has announced a further addition to its warehouse range with a new series of AC pallet trucks, to deliver superior performance and a low cost of ownership for demanding warehouse operations.

The P1.8-2.2 pedestrian powered pallet trucks feature some of Hysters latest developments in technology and design, to deliver low cost of ownership through dependability and powerful performance.

The powerful 1.2kW AC traction motor provides excellent performance thanks to increased acceleration, optimising the number of loads moved per hour through variable performance settings.  Hyster has maximised motor and control efficiency with MOSFET controls to ensure low energy consumption and increased battery shift life. The polyurethane load wheels provide maximum traction in loading bays and production areas for use on uneven surfaces and ramps, helping to provide a maximum travel speed of 6.0km/h with or without load.

The ergonomic design of the truck aids driver productivity, with features such as the responsive butterfly switches, for left and right handed operators to comfortably control travel direction, speed and braking. The trucks offer a smooth acceleration with controlled, adjustable, regenerative braking.  A creep control button allows operators to manoeuvre the truck with the ergonomically designed tiller arm, enabling them to operate accurately and efficiently in confined spaces with the tiller in a vertical position.

The new P1.8-2.2 series offers a significantly low cost of ownership, thanks to its reliable and durable design and maintenance free AC motor.  Uptime is maximised thanks to the low maintenance requirements with extended service intervals of 12 months or 1,000 hours. CANbus technology allows continuous feedback and fast communications between components improving troubleshooting through the driver diagnostic interface and providing early warning of maintenance requirements. Serviceability is also enhanced by easy access to the motors and key components.
