Chilled and frozen specialist haulage company, Dennis Distribution has just added the market-leading SLX units from Thermo King to its fleet of over 40 vehicles. Five new Krone reefers have all been fitted with the SLX 200 units, renowned for providing outstanding fuel and noise performance.

Supplied by Marshall Thermo King the units have been fitted to the first ever Krone trailers for Dennis Distribution, which will be used to service a brand new contract for Meadow Foods. This will also be the first time that Meadow Foods has had vehicles branded with their own livery.

The SLX units were chosen for their high performance and outstanding results documented since the production launch last year. Trials and early users of the market-leading SLX range have reported significant savings on fuel consumption, high performance and low operating noise.

Richard Dale, Dennis Distribution commented on the introduction of the new reefers: Following the award of the haulage contract for Meadow Foods, we needed to expand our fleet to accommodate their requirements. During the review of our fleet we undertook extensive research into the market- place to ensure we selected the best products to fulfil this contract. The SLX units were a clear choice as the results speak for themselves. Within such a competitive industry sector we needed to ensure that we can provide the best possible performance, whilst also minimising our expenditure and the SLX range stood out against any other products on the market to meet our needs.

Nathan Underwood, Marshall Thermo King: We worked closely with Dennis Distribution to make sure that they selected the best option for their requirements from the SLX range. Following a series of consultations the SLX 200 was selected based on the reported performance and business needs.
