Choice Logistics names Rob Van Doorn to Direct Global Network in EMEA and APAC

Choice Logistics, the global specialist in outsourced mission-critical service parts logistics services, has announced the appointment of Rob Van Doorn as director for operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Asia Pacific (APAC).  Based in the Netherlands, he will be responsible for daily operations and vendor management for Choices partner network.

International operations are a primary component of Choices mission-critical service parts logistics offering, said Michael Katz, CEO, Choice Logistics.  We are growing by leaps and bounds in EMEA and APAC, as we continue to respond to the needs of our clients.  The addition of a seasoned expert, such as Rob Van Doorn, is a testament to our ongoing commitment to assemble the most talented professionals in the industry.  He will bring tremendous value to our clients and partners who are challenged with a myriad of compliance issues and other complexities in these regions.

An industry veteran, well versed in international supply chain management, Van Doorn most recently served as site director/operations manager for Jabil, a $12.8 billion (USD) company with 55 facilities in 22 countries. He previously held management positions with Kuehne + Nagel Group, an international logistics provider, and Computer 2000, a UK-based distributor of IT products and services.

Van Doorn holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Rotterdam in the Netherlands.  He is fluent in English, Dutch and has a working knowledge of German.
