TDG continues to provide logistics services for LPR

One way trip pallet pool operator, LPR, has renewed its logistic service business with TDG for the next three years in a deal worth 18 million. TDG will continue to manage the transport planning and collection of LPR pallets throughout the UK, and also co-ordinate pallet inspection, sorting, repair and reconditioning   throughout its network of  five processing depots.

LPR currently services 4.7 million pallet movements in the UK each year completely concentrated within the FMCG sector. Since 2003, TDG has provided logistics for LPR and its famous red pallets. LPR managing director, Jane Gorick, comments: TDG and its staff has remained a steadfast partner to LPR over the last five years.  Often acting as the face of our business, part of our success can be directly attributed to the passion and service shown by TDG. We are delighted to continue our partnership, build upon our high service levels and make the red pallet the pallet of choice for FMCG manufacturers.

The positive relationship between TDG and LPR has been reflected in LPRs annual survey of the FMCG Distribution Centres. This year saw LPRs reputation at an all time high, as it is rated the best provider in the industry in terms of overall service, collection performance and pallet quality.  90% of the RDC community rated LPRs service levels positively, and 94% described LPR pallet quality as either good or excellent.
