Narrow Aisle - the articulated forklift truck manufacturer - has announced the launch of the Flexi ecoGAS, a new addition to the FLEXI range of articulated forklift trucks.
The Flexi ecoGAS has been developed to load and unload lorries from a dock or loading ramp and, thanks to its three-way catalytic converter, is suitable for indoor work too. A range of low profile lift masts - including four stage quad types - have also been developed to provide safe access into ISO containers and still give lift heights up to 6 metres.
The ability to unload standard ISO shipping containers and then take pallets directly to the very narrow aisle pallet racking is expected to be a very popular function in the future particularly within the third party logistics sector where RFID is becoming more widely used.
The FLEXI ecoGAS has been developed for customers who want a gas-powered articulated truck that is capable of working for long shifts and offers exceptional fuel efficiency. In fact, the new model uses up to 20% less LPG over the course of a typical shift than other Gas-powered articulated trucks on the market.
Without a load, the truck weighs some 30% less than certain existing articulated models which makes it one of the lightest articulated forklift trucks available. This means that the Flexi ecoGAS is light enough to be suitable for container stuffing and de-stuffing tasks and is compatible with all standard semi-trailers. The new truck is also light enough to be lifted and lowered by most scissor lifts at sites where it is required to access a trailer unlike heavier forklift models which require ramps.
The truck offers fast and efficient operating speeds with better fuel economy.
The Flexi ecoGAS features a fast, safe LPG bottle changing system and can lift loads weighing up to 1500kgs and, depending on the choice of mast, can lift loads to heights upto 8 metres.
